We spoke about one freshman that was making an impact early on around the region in Jahseem Felton but that led us to another freshman up in New York that recently grabbed a few headlines when he received his first offer.

It was announced that 2024 Preston Edmead from Deer Park high school earned an offer from Bryant.

We were able to reach out to his father, John Edmead, to learn a little more about Preston and here is what he had to say:

“He works hard and is in the gym every day,” he said.  “Preston is still slight of build but he has a high skill set, is very poised on the court, and can run a team.  And he is only 13.  He plays with a good pace and has a good feel for when to really push and when to control the tempo.”

At Deer Park HS, Preston played with his brother, Malik Edmead, and helped secure a 13-9 overall record. Preston averaged 10 points and six assists per game.
