Getting a little Virginia flavor is always fun for Phenom Hoops, as St. Stephens St. Agnes made its way down to Charlotte and really represented themselves well throughout the Mike Gminski Classic. They finished the event with a 2-1 record, just coming up short against 1of1 on Day 2. But overall, this was a team that offered a lot of talent and should be reckoned with throughout the rest of the season.

2025 Riley Jacobs (UMBC commit)

Jacobs was impressive all throughout the event and credit to UMBC for getting a steal in the 6’8 forward. Jacobs has a strong blend of athleticism and production as well as potential left in his game. Time after time, he scored at the rim with his bounce and ability to finish on defenders but also showed touch with his length and wingspan. He used that wingspan as well in helping attack the basket, be disruptive, and alter shots as well.

2025 Colin Pollock (Navy commit)

Pollock is an interesting prospect on the court especially with his versatility, his size, and ability to make plays in a variety of areas. He was able to find success with not only his ability to play off the ball and knock down shots but also did a great job in creating opportunities for himself. Pollock demonstrated his ability to force the action, get inside the defense and in the paint, and use his size to his advantage to score or get to the free-throw line.

2026 Marcus Hancock

Hancock was one that really impressed as well, giving his team another weapon on the court and a consistent threat from the outside. The junior guard did a great job in moving around the floor to find open spots and showing tremendous confidence in his ability to knock down shots from multiple areas along the perimeter. He didn’t need to be the focal point of the offense but did a great job taking advantage of the opportunities he had.

2028 Devin Ainsworth

As a young freshman guard, I was impressed with his overall composure and ability to not only run the offense but also to step up and create plays for himself and others. As a 6’2 guard, he can create scoring opportunities for himself, make good reads in finding teammates, and being a strong presence both offensively and defensively for his team.
