6’7 Ben Burnham ’21 of Carmel Christian was a man amongst boys tonight as he dominated the game on both sides of the ball. He has a unique combination of motor, toughness, and athleticism that allows him to be very productive for his team. He is an incredible rebounder who works to collect every rebound possible, rebounds seem to just fall right in his hands. Watching him play you quickly see his ability to convert in the paint through contact. His toughness is off the charts, he isn’t afraid to do any and everything his team needs to win. He is ultra-productive and will be a great fit at Winthrop. Eager to see how he grows within that program.
6’3 Trae Benham ’21 of Concord Academy absolutely torched the defense from behind the arc. His ability to find or create space to get his jumper off was impressive. His stroke is very smooth with a quick release that allows him to get his shot off with minimal space. He is definitely in the conversation for one of the best shooters in the state. He plays to his strength and always makes the simple plays that are sometimes overlooked but are highly effective. He also is a very tough guard and will but his body on the line for his team.
6’3 Logan Threatt ’22 of Concord Academy has the ability to really heat up and put up big numbers. He is a super crafty guard who has the uncanny ability to create scoring opportunities for himself and others. He has a really high IQ which allows him to be a threat with the ball in his hand. He can really shoot the ball and can do it both off the catch and dribble. He brings a ton of energy and confidence to his team. Along with his shooting ability, he gets to the paint at will due to his blinding quickness. This is a kid that will bring life and scoring to any program, definitely the type of player I’d love to have. College Coaches should definitely invest now!
6’3 Max Rogers ’21 of Asheville Christian simply makes shots. His ability to be patient and take what the defense gives him is a skill in itself. He has a beautiful stroke and can really catch fire from behind the arc. He also possesses the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to his midrange with ease. With him, you know exactly what you are going to get from him on a nightly basis. He also takes care of the ball and rarely turns it over; he makes the easy plays and is very fundamental.
6’3 Colin Mills ’21 of Asheville Christian is a tough guard who really gets to his spots on offense. His ability to create off the dribble has been impressive; has a great midrange pull-up that has been consistent. He has also showcased the ability to be effective from three, knocking them down both off the catch and dribble. He operates well in transition as he is able to find and create opportunities for himself and teammates. He takes care of the ball is another guy who rarely turns over the ball or forces anything offensively.
6’9 Isaiah Sutherland ’24 of Northside Christian has all the physical tools to develop into a high-level prospect. When watching him play, you immediately see how hard he plays; he seems to never take a play off. He is a tremendous athlete who also has good size and length that allows him to be effective on both sides of the ball. He has a tremendous motor and is a tenacious rebounder; great offensive rebounder which allows him to get easy points in the paint. Being that he is a 2024 kid, he has a ton of time to grow and develop; he has a very high upside. College Coaches should highlight his name and really keep track of him.
