6’4 Kheni Briggs 2022 of The Wonders Varsity was very impressive in his first game today. His unique ability to balance creating for his teammates and scoring was something to be intrigued by. Offensively, his overwhelming ability to attack the rim and covert through contact was on full display. The part of his game that really stood out to me was his ability to really pass the ball and make his teammates better. He also showcased the ability to be a tough rebounder on both sides of the ball.
5’6 Jaquan Bethea 2023 of CSB Select showcased his ability to be a floor general for his team. His crafty handle, his change of pace, and his passing ability caused a ton of problems for the defense. He thrived in transition, attacking the basket and finishing. He has a knack for getting into the paint and finding the open guy. Defensively, he pressured the ball and caused the offense to turnover the ball quite a bit. Eager to see this kid develop over the next few years.
6’4 Arki Thornton 2021 of Combine Academy Regional is a freak athlete and uses that to really affect the game in all aspects. His ability to attack the rim and finish was very overbearing for the offense as they struggled to defend him all game. His ability to use his strength and athleticism was on full display as he used it to effortlessly get by defenders. He has great length and is active which allows him to be a great defender both on and off the ball; he caused a ton of turnovers which led to easy transition points. He also did a great job of rebounding defensively both in and outside of his area. He will be a great addition to whatever program lands him.
6’8 Mayar Wol 2022 of Hart Select Varsity has a ton of potential and was very intriguing in his last game. He showcased his versatility all game long-playing and defending multiple positions. He is super long which allows him to affect the game on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he attacked the rim and finished at will. He also showed the ability to knock down open jumpers from three. Defensively, he uses his length to sit in the passing lanes and get easy steals and points in transition. He controlled the glass for his team as he grabbed rebounds left and right. At 6’8 with his length, versatility, and mobility, I can definitely see his recruitment take off. He has the potential to be a very good prospect!
6’4 Chase Lowe 2022 of CC Warriors is a super versatile guard who does a little bit of everything on the court. His ability to handle the ball and get to the rim has been devastating to the defense. He has the ability to create contact, and get to the free-throw line for easy points. He also possesses a high IQ that allows him to be effective creating for others around him. Defensively he uses his length and strength to really keep guys in front. Adding to his defensive abilities, he is a great rebounder on both sides of the ball. He has the frame and body along with the skills to develop into a really good player. College Coaches should definitely begin recruiting him!
