Here are five players that stood out to one of analysts on Day 2 at the Southern Jam.

Jorden Davis 6’1 CEBA: Jorden is a scoring guard, with a great looking jump shot that he knocks down consistently. He also has a nice handle that he uses to break down the defensive to create for himself and others. Defensively his long arms allow him to put a lot of pressure on the ball and create disruption all over the floor. In the future Jorden will need to show an in between to keep defenders off balance.

Bryant Thomas 6’7-Team FSP: Bryant is a long athletic forward with that uses quickness and length to affect the game in many ways. He did most of his damage around the rim collecting offensive rebounds and converting them lay ups. Bryant has a nice looking form on his jump shot and showed some ability to face up and make plays. Defensively he’s a big time rim protector that allowed nothing easy at the basket. He will need to continue to develop his back to the basket moves and also get stronger physically. He scored 18pts in his teams win over CEBA.

(c/o 20) Tristan Maxwell 6’2 North Meck:

Talented combo guard that scores at all three levels on the basketball court. In his game today Tristan he had it going from the three point line, but he also showed the ability to breakdown his defender off the dribble to score in the mid range area and at the backboard. He’s a big time shooter that’s only scratching the surface of what he could be.

Deaundra Murphy 6’3 M.A.T.T.S Mustangs:

Lights out shooter with range and sneaky athleticism. Deaundra understands how to play the game and picks his spots well. When he does put the ball on the floor he maximizes his dribbles and gets to his sweet spots on the floor. He will need to continue to develop his handle but he shoots the ball well enough that the defensive has to stay close.

Dajour Joseph 6’5 HH-SO-FLO

A strongly built do it all wing that can shoot from the perimeter just as well as get to the backboard whenever he wants. Dajour is a matchup nightmare that’s able to post smaller defenders and drive by bigger defenders. He’s very crafty with his dribble allowing him to create for himself and others. If he continues to make perimeter shots at a high clip he with be a prospect that gets interest from a lot of different levels.
