The second day of our third annual Tyler Lewis HoopFest continued forward with an exciting matchup between Southern Durham and Greensboro Day School. The Spartans have all the makings of a squad who should legitimately be among the best teams in their classification while the Bengals’ longstanding success doesn’t need to be reiterated. Southern Durham did a great job of securing the lead early and dictating the pace of play thereafter. Although both sides competed well, the Spartans held a 36-29 advantage going into halftime. Following the break, Southern Durham extended their lead until the closing minutes, where the Bengals cut the deficit but ultimately fell 68-58 to Southern Durham.
