What a great event it was this past weekend, with Phenom Hoops bringing in some of the top talents from South Carolina all under one building. A state that has been rich with talent but at times goes under the radar, it seems like there are some players to be found and we are looking to highlight that even more.
Now let’s look at a rising big man that has been catching the eyes of many and should only continue that trend after a strong high school season at Gray Collegiate. 2024 6’9 Ellis Graham has been earning a few impressive offers lately, with Jacksonville and Wichita State being the latest. But that list could honestly start continuing to get bigger as he is a forward that is just starting his story. Graham has legit size that will grab your attention, but it is also his impact on both sides of the court. He runs the floor well, can go from rim to rim, be an instant shot blocker or rim protector for a team, but also display his ability to finish strong at the rim or with touch. But you also have to like his ability to have the option of stepping out and being a threat with his outside shot.
Right now, he thrives in certain areas of the court but it does seem that he is continuing to add more pieces to his game that make him even more intriguing. As Graham continues to get stronger and develop his game, it seems that more schools will be coming his way as he is a forward to really keep an eye on in South Carolina.
What Has Been Said:
“2024 Ellis Graham (Team USC) continues to impress me with his activity level on both sides of the ball. Great touch around the basket and giving us a little glimpse that he can step out and knock down shots.”
“Graham already holds offers but really do believe more should start tracking him in what he ultimately proves on the court. He has tremendous size early on and uses it so well, especially on the defensive end. Graham is a natural shot-blocker, erasing multiple shots around the basket and cleaning up on the boards. But he is also developing more on the offensive end, other than just finishing at the rim. If he continues to develop and add more layers to his game, he is going to be a hot target for many.”
