What a great event it was with Phenom Hoops bringing in some of the top talents from South Carolina all under one building. A state that has been rich with talent but at times goes under the radar at times, it seems like there is some incredible talent to be found and we are looking to highlight that even more.
One player that captured our eyes earlier in the year and has only continued to improve has been 2023 6'9 Brandon Crawford from Irmo high school. When we first watched him, he immediately grabbed our attention with his length, his mobility, and his rim-protecting ability. He has only continued to make strides with his game, really making his presence felt defensively in blocking shots and showcasing his athleticism but also more to his game offensively. Adding more to his ability to finish at the rim, facing up and driving, and continuing to stay active on the boards.
But this could be one of those late-bloomer forwards and is one that is carving out a role in what he can provide on the court. Right now, he holds multiple offers including one Division I offer from Wichita State, but it will be interesting to see how his recruitment continues to go after this season, as he will be one to watch down in South Carolina.

His lack of scholarship-level offers is somewhat confusing, especially with the obvious understanding that he'll only get better with continued strength development. Crawford is a great rim-runner who knows how to finish, rebound, block shots, and run the floor in transition.'
'The HYB Raps Extreme group were fairly dominant during their first showing of the day, largely thanks to everything Crawford brings to the table. He's a long, athletic forward with effortless bounce and the ability to consistently meet opponents at the rim. Crawford moves well for his size, alters shots defensively, and rebounds well on both ends of the floor. He definitely has the tools to succeed at the next level.'
