2027 6’2 Hunter McGraw (Gray Collegiate)

McGraw had some good flashes at the event and should be a point guard to keep an eye on more at Gray Collegiate. He did a great job in being assertive and creating opportunities for himself, getting to the line consistently, showing good speed in the open floor, was a playmaker on the court, and showed court awareness.

2027 6’1 Lincoln Vinson (Davidson Day)

What a weekend it was for Vinson, as the guard stepped up big-time for his team when they needed him. We wrote not long ago about Vinson with the title “Tough as Nails” and that couldn’t be more on point after his performance. Vinson does an excellent job in creating for himself and attacking the defense, forcing the action, creating contact, battling on the boards, and also finding teammates well. He has consistently shown that he can fill up the stat sheet and competes at a high level.

2027 6’0 Antonio Worthy (Hunter Huss)

Worthy was a new name for me, and he stepped up big in his team’s game against Queens Grant. The 6’0 guard was part of a strong trio on the floor for his team, excelling really well in playing off the ball, finding open spots, and knocking down shots from behind the arc or just inside the arc.  He really complimented his teammates well and should be a strong piece for the rest of the season.

2027 6’9 Mason Robinson (GDS)

Robinson is one that I believe is just starting to show what he could ultimately be at the next level. Time after time, Robinson was finishing at the rim with power and ease, carving out space and using his athleticism and physical frame to his advantage. The 6’9 big man offers a lot on both sides of the court, especially with his fluidity.  But there is still a lot more left in the tank as he continues to develop his overall game.

2027 6’6 James Minlend (Concord Academy)

It seems to be finally hitting this young man and he is showing why the potential in his game is so high. He has great size and length, is terrific in creating and forcing the action as he covers a ton of area with his long frame, and also shows that he is a confident knockdown shooter from behind the arc. He stepped up big for his team in hitting big shots against GDS.

2027 6’7 Zeke Battier (Providence Day)

The last name certainly sounds familiar, but this is a young man who really was able to open some eyes to what he can provide on the court. One can’t deny the intrigue with his confidence in being able to stretch the floor, be a threat from behind the arc, and pick and pop. But again, he also has the size that should allow him to operate from a variety of levels.
