The Phenom Team Camp was a tremendous success and an opportunity for players of all ages and levels to play against strong competition and also impress our scouts. One player that impressed and we were high on after seeing him at the event was Kings Mountain 2026 6’5 Bradley Floyd. After the event, this is what we had to say:
“Floyd is starting to enter a different discussion regarding the Class of 2026, as we will have much more on him later this week. But from what we have seen over the last year, this young man is going under the radar but could also be in for a blowup. Floyd, who sits at 6’5, may be one of the most versatile prospects in his class, as he is a stat sheet stuffer. Whether it is creating and scoring, facilitating to his teammates, rebounding, and/or defending, Floyd does it all and offers so much on the court. I truly believe this is just the start of a big uptick in his recruitment.”
Floyd is coming off a season in which he averaged nearly 20ppg, 7.2rpg, 4.6apg, and 1.7spg at Kings Mountain, continuing to show why he is one of the more complete players in the state. He impacts the game in so many ways and he put that on display at the Team Camp. He is known for his scoring ability, using his length to get downhill and attack, finish at the rim consistently, and score over defenders. But he also stretches the court at times with his shot-making from multiple levels. But what doesn’t get always talked about is how versatile he can be with his big-time vision and facilitating, dropping on-point passes for his teammates for easy baskets, as well as his impact on the boards as well.
After watching him at the Team Camp, I’m looking forward even more to watching Floyd in action this summer and leading his team at Kings Mountain. Floyd still has room for growth which makes him even more dangerous, and I believe Floyd should start to be viewed more on a national level.
Right now, he holds offers from Hampton, Stetson, Charlotte, Appalachian State, and recently picked up a big offer from Florida State. He has also been hearing from Virginia Tech, Old Dominion, Radford, and others, as this could just be the start of his recruitment taking off.
