Player: Bryce Cash
School: Charlotte Christian
Class: 2023

If you have been around the scene in North Carolina for high school basketball, you have heard the name of 2023 Bryce Cash from Charlotte Christian. This is a young man that has produced since day one in high school and has only continued to elevate his game, now leading the charge as a junior.

When you talk about this young man's game, you first think about just how strong he is on the court. He has a great frame, uses it well, and gets downhill offensively with the ball, finishing strong around and at the rim (got a little bounce to his game as well). He also has been known for his defensive presence as well, really making an impact with how he can shut down opponents and create havoc on that side of the ball.

When watching him recently in action, you can see that he has really elevated his game in making an impact in all areas of the floor, now averaging 13.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 3.1 steals per game.

But, as any good player would do, he continues to work on his game.  When speaking to him, he mentioned that he is looking to sharpen a few key areas to prepare himself for the next level.

'My main focus this offseason was being able to create my shot on all three levels,' he told Phenom Hoops.  'I also kept sharpening my ballhandling and just all aspects of my game.'

Playing with Team Curry this summer

Team Curry 16u came away as the top team this season and Cash was a big part of their success.  But just as much as he helped his team, playing at that level and with those guys helped him as well.

'This past summer was a lot of fun,' Cash said.  'Playing a key role on a national championship team taught me toughness that wasn't as strong as before.  Coach Jones and the rest of the Team Curry staff played a big part in that.'

Recruitment Update

Right now, Cash holds an offer from Coastal Carolina, one he received over the summer but in speaking with him lately, he mentioned that other schools are showing interest and staying in contact with him.

'I have an offer from Coastal but other than that, the same schools have been showing interest,' he said.  'The heaviest at the moment are Providence, Virginia Tech, Furman, Yale, and Appalachian State.  They just check up on me either by phone or text to see how the season is going.  App State has been to two of my practices and so has Yale and Furman.'
