One of the top prospects remaining in the class of 2021, 6'6 Jalen Ricks has continued to see programs recruit him while other schools from the SEC have expressed interest.

Phenom Hoops recently tuned into Oak Hill's scrimmage vs. Hargrave Military, a matchup both have done for quite some time now.  Ricks was one of many standouts from the game, as he was able to use his length on both ends, showcase a good motor, and give us a glimpse of his athleticism.

Those flashes in his game continue to give us a glimpse of why schools have been recruiting him.  And he hopes to continue to show his progression, especially with the season getting started at Oak Hill.

'I wanted to work on my body, getting stronger and just being sharp as an athlete,' Ricks told Phenom Hoops.  'I'm excited to compete and perform on a national level this year.  I was also happy to get back out on the court and compete.'

As far as his recruitment has gone, Ricks says schools like Towson, Tulsa, Arkansas, and Texas A&M have continued to stay in touch as he weighs his options.

'They have been telling me what my roles would be with the respective schools and sending me motivational messages to keep the spirits up during these trying times.'

The Razorbacks are certainly one that catches the attention, with Ricks being from Arkansas but he says that doesn't impact his decision. He listens to what all the coaches and colleges have to offer and will base his decision on what's best for me as a person and player.

Ricks also mentioned schools like Auburn and Alabama have shown interest from the SEC, while Louisville has also shown interest as well.

'Just small talk, telling me to keep working and talking about potentially visiting,' he replied about what they have been talking to him about.

Ricks has no timetable of when he may decide.
