The South Carolina Top 80 really opened some eyes with the talent that was on the court. There were several new names that jumped out on the court with their play and evaluations will be coming out shortly, but we wanted to continue our coverage of the event as we look at a few players that impressed.
Dorman has been a factory of producing talent that looks to play at the next level and they seem to have added another young piece for the future and certainly one to watch. 2024 Christian Andrews has been a known name around Phenom Hoops over the years but he continues to make steady improvements with his game.
Andrews eventually went home with the playmaker award and it fits well for him, as he plays with an incredible feel and sense on the court. He is a tough, strong, and aggressive guard but plays under control. Andrews plays hard on both ends and has shown that he can be a good leader and playmaker for his teammates on the court but has also shown that he can fill up the stat sheet offensively and go get a bucket. He has a lot of characteristics that you like in a floor general, which is why it will be interesting to see what he can do at Dorman in the coming years. With his natural feel, his terrific IQ, and willingness to make excellent passes, to go along with his defensive mentality and ability to be an offensive threat with his shot, the future looks bright for this young guard down in South Carolina.
