Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the hall decking Piedmont! The Great One is here once again to release his first Furious 5 of the season. Last year we saw The Pony Express of Myers Park take the 4A state title along with F5 honors. The big question this season is, CAN the Stangs repeat' The answer is, yes. However, it will be a difficult task as interior stalwart Elijah Strong is in college now and would-be starter Santana Lynch has migrated to The Lake. Couple that with the transfer of Chadlyn Traylor to North Meck, and the task becomes even more difficult. Keep in mind that the Furious 5 is a ranking of public school 4A teams that are in Mecklenburg and any NC county connecting to Mecklenburg. The 23-24 campaign should be an exciting one with many marquee matchups as usual, so without further adieu, we will get things rolling. To the 5!!!!!

  1. NORTH MECK – CHADLYN TRAYLOR JOINS A LOADED VIKING SQUAD INCLUDING 5* DUKE SIGNEE ISAIAH EVANS FOR WHAT PROMISES TO BE A MEMORABLE SEASON.
  2. MYERS PARK – CAN THE PONY EXPRESS REPEAT''' YES-SIRRRRR, AS WHITE, BOSWELL, AND MOHOMMED LEAD A TALENTED CAST OVER IN SOUTH PARK.
  3. LAKE NORMAN – SANTANA COULD BE THE “IT-FACTOR” TO A BANNER SEASON FOR THE PROGRAM
