Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the springlike piedmont. The 1st round of the playoffs yielded some surprises and due to a lack of data input, the ol’ cubic zirconia ball (can’t afford crystal) produced some inaccurate results. But have no fear for The Sad One has corrected the problem and will no doubt bounce back from a dismal 10-5 round. (The South Central forfeit to Rolesville is not included for obvious reasons.) The Great One called the South Meck takedown of Independence but missed on the Myers Park upset pick as the Mustangs pulled to within 2 but Tyreik Leach and company would have none of the upset thing. Hillside also shocked a hot Harding team, Fuquay Varina stunned Pine Forest and a young Richmond team dispatched Heritage. Now, the 2nd round will show who can be a Cinderella and who is just pretending. Some marquee matchups await as The Sadster will now pick up the rest of the classifications in his predictions.
