In the scouting world, there are key factors that stand out for many scouts that grab their attention immediately.' For me personally, a point guard that can absolutely run the show and one that a coach doesn't have to worry about on the court simply attracts my eyes. 'There are a few out there that do that; one was 2023 Trey Green when we first watched him years ago and still doing it today.' One of the latest point guards that have entered that picture is 2024 Kyle 'KJ' Greene Jr.

Playing with Upward Stars and Pace Academy, Greene is one that simply runs the show on the floor.' Having a leader on the court like him can be tough to find, as he is one that you don't have to worry about and is the spoon that stirs the drink.

When you watch his game, he has a terrific balance in his game and can play multiple ways if needed. If you like to get up and down, out in transition, Greene does an excellent job in seeing the floor, picking through the defense, and being able to find his teammates but also displays his athleticism in finishing and making plays on his own.' He also shows tremendous confidence and composure in the halfcourt, running the offense that is needed, making smart decisions on the floor, and being that leader that is needed.

To put it simply' smooth is the name of the game for this young man.' His feel, his natural instincts, his decision-making, and his ability to create for himself and for others are quite impressive for the 2024 point guard.' This is why it is going to be interesting to see who else enters into the mix in his recruitment.

Greene already holds an impressive list of offers which include South Carolina, North Carolina A&T, Texas A&M, Clemson, Ole Miss, LSU, The Citadel, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Cleveland State, Tennessee, Georgia, and UMass.  But that list should just continue to increase, especially with programs around the region.

No matter what, it was easy to see why Greene is regarded as one of the premier point guards in his class and he showed why at the Phenom MDC.
