Jordan Vick

Phenom Hoops went back to review the tape of Greenfield, as they took on Central Alamance Prep. It was a chance to watch a program that has an intriguing blend of talent. Greenfield took charge early in the action and this game was never really in doubt, with Greenfield moving to 2-0 with an 88-40 win at home.

Here are a few of the standouts that we saw on the tape, as two young freshmen really showed they are going to be players in the 2024 class.

2024 Hampton Evans: Evans started to catch eyes last year but now, it looks to be his time to be one of the leaders at such a young age.  This young man really showed that he can make an impact in several ways on the court.  He scored the ball well, knocking down shots from the perimeter, putting it on the deck and attack, and showing good feel in finishing around the rim.  Evans was also strong on the boards on both ends, as he was really active on the floor outside of scoring.  With his size and versatility on the floor, Evans is another young prospect that should help lead the charge for this Greenfield group.
Stats: 29 points, 11 rebounds

2024 Jordan Vick: Vick is looking to be something special early on and when talking to Coach Salter, he is just starting to learn the game which is scary to think.  This is a young guard that already has high-major schools' attention and the way he played tonight; you can see why.  This young man makes it look easy, as he plays really well with the ball in his hands.  Vick has a natural feel in how to operate and sees the floor really well.  In the win, he played with terrific pace, got out in transition well, and was able to create for himself (score inside and out) or find his teammates.  What I also enjoyed with his game is what he did on the defensive end, creating multiple steals and turning that into easy points the other way.  This young man is going to be a big-time talent in the 2024 class, mark our words.
Stats: 20 points, 7 assists, 4 steals

2022 Aaron Murphy: With the frame that Murphy brings to the table, along with his ability to bruise defenders and score along with getting on the boards, he is going to be an important factor for this team. Greenfield doesn't have a ton of size, so he showed that he can really help them on the boards while also scoring the ball around the rim. Did a really good job running the floor and showcasing his motor in the win.
Stats: 18 points, 10 rebounds
