There was some big news swarming around the state, as it was announced that 2026 Kendre Harrison will be returning to Reidsville. Earlier this year, Harrison announced that he would be heading to Providence Day but it seems that things have changed and one of the top prospects in the state is headed back home.
Harrison’s return is huge news but the bigger picture for sure is now surrounding Reidsville basketball, as this looks to be a team on a hunt for back-to-back championships. Even without Harrison, the Rams were looking to be one of the premier teams led by 2026 Dionte Neal and 2025 Johnniyus Sharpe. But with the big man coming back home, Reidsville looks to once again be a powerhouse heading into the season, being must-see TV here in North Carolina.
Last year, the Rams were able to take home the title behind an overtime victory vs. Farmville Central 78-77.
Harrison led all scorers last year with 19.4 points, 15.1 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game, simply overpowering opponents in the paint and being a true force of nature. His blend of strength, fluidity, and power is fun to watch, as he brings that to both the football field and the basketball court. Right there with him was Neal, scoring and facilitating while also creating a ton of havoc defensively for opponents. And lastly, you have Sharpe who is a rising talent that should start getting more looks from programs around the region with his offensive scoring, shot-making, and athleticism, as he is coming off a season in which he averaged 18.2 points per game.
With the trio back in town at Reidsville High School, the Rams have high expectations on their shoulders, but it is nothing that they can’t handle. With Harrison coming back, Reidsville looks to be once again a powerhouse on the court as they are in the hunt for yet another championship run.
