It’s getting to be that time of year where schools across the country are calling us daily, asking for unsigned seniors. With commitments flying off the board daily, programs are still trying to fill their rosters.
Here we’re taking a look at some players from our region that coaches should be looking at … Part 2
6’8” KC Hankton
United Faith Christian (NC)
Hankton is a skilled big man. He has great genes with his father being an NFL guy, sports come naturally. Hankton is a good athlete, who really turned things up his senior season. He has all the skills you want in a face up tweener forward. Recently the likes of Ole Miss, Florida Gulf Coast, Valparaiso, Elon, etc…all jumped in. He visited Stetson last week.
6’2″ Jonathan Breeland
Blythewood HS (SC)
Breeland is a true, throwback point guard. He has great size and frame that pairs well with a great change of pace and the control with which he plays. Breeland is able to get to the paint at will and he distributes as well as he scores it. Defensively Breeland is very strong and he has quick twitch athleticism with toughness. We have seen Breeland put on some dominating performances as he has led his 5A South Carolina high school to a 45-9 record over the last two years. Newberry has offered, but D1s come on now…
6’6” Adafe Price
Albemarle HS (NC)
Price has a full and complete skill set. He has great length as a natural wing, but his size can also have him playing a skilled 4-man role at the next level. Positional versatility on both ends of the floor is very attractive here. He can score the ball, great in the middle game and is a good athlete. Price is also a high academic kid, carrying a 3.9 GPA. Astonishing he has no offers to speak of, he will make a D1 program better from Day 1.
6’4” Kevin Williamson
Aiken HS (Aiken, SC)
Williams had a great pre-season and was set to really blow up his senior year. That inevitable blow up had to be put on hold as he suffered an injury on a couple of games into the season. Williamson has the full arsenal on offense. He is a good athlete with good length. He can really shoot the ball from beyond the arc and he is able to get loose in the mid-range to score on dribble pull-ups. He has a projectable frame to grow even more in college. Also a 3.4 student. Another one who will make a D1 program better.
