2024 Desmond Kent (Crossover Elite)

Getting the opportunity to see Desmond in this new role really opens your eyes to how versatile he can be and what he can offer at the next level. Although he's been well noted for knowing his role at Central, he will undoubtedly be picking up more responsibility next year and is proving right now why, with a heavier focus of touches to operate inside or out and taking more command of ball handling to make the lead decisions in the open court off his rebounds. He's showcased next level moves, scoring polish, and energetic leadership that has left a permanent impression on an already noteworthy foundation.

2025 Emari Russell (Crossover Elite)

Another Central Cabarrus guy that will be taking on more duties next year, Emari is a perfect fit for what they want to do in establishing an up-tempo game based on ball pressure. He's got quick cat-like reflexes with coordination and energy to relentlessly pursue the ball. He finishes, runs the floor and makes himself available, and can turn into a real threat when attention is shifted onto others and he works off the ball. Expect him to be a notable breakout name you start hearing more of with the Vikings.

2025 Tim Harris (Midstate Magic)

However you want to put it, some guys just know how to out the ball in the hole. And no matter who the defender or what the scenario was, he easily was able to carey the offensive burden without any struggles. He doesn't rely on creating off the bounce, he can spot up and knock down outside shots, but is very dangerous when working his bigger body inside. He's efficient with his touches, is confident with how and where he can work from, and plays at his own pace, a very frustrating combination for defenses to figure out.

2025 Jamari Cullen (Upward Upstate)

In terms of shot creation, Jamari was easily among a short list of elite control of pace and balance. He's got numerous moves ready to use that he consistently utilizes as he gets downhill, lands on two, and gets defenders off balance. He uses his fakes and footwork to find space and angles to consistently convert tough contested looks, and can mix up his approach stylistically between fast or slow pace and working in the full or half court.

2026 Columbus Parker (Team Charlotte)

Team Charlotte has been one of the most impressive teams this spring and Columbus has been a big reason why. He beings consistently high energy with a chippy competitive edge and can apply an intense level of ball pressure guys that age aren't used to. His high motor leads him to always be around the ball and be involved in every play, and it's a huge benefit to have a combo guard that doesn't have to score to still leave a huge impact. Guys like him successfully carve out roles at every level and are always in high demand.

2026 Michael Johnson (Mississippi All-N)

This Mississippi All-N roster was as complete as you'll find at any level with several enticing pieces to do a lot of damage with. But it was clear that if they needed something done, the ball would most likely end up in Michael's hands. He's a crafty shot creator that plays with excellent awareness and poise as a primary decision maker. He has a tight handle, quick reaction times in seeing the floor and anticipating defenders, and has finely tuned control of athleticism and strength to supply hefty firepower to the offense. I especially liked his business mentality and calm demeanor as he made impressive play after play.
