The second day of our sixth annual Hoops and Dreams Showcased continued with a matchup between Red Springs and Northwood Temple. Both squads enter this contest looking to prove themselves, and it ended up being a pretty entertaining affair. The Eagles came out of the gate playing unselfish, team-oriented basketball and quickly took the lead as a direct result. Kenny Vera set the tone and the rest of his cohorts followed, resulting in a 45-29 advantage for Northwood Temple entering halftime. Following the break, Red Springs fought back and managed to narrow it down to a single-digit deficit. However, Northwood Temple would reassert themselves to ultimately secure an 83-65 victory over Red Springs.
