Schools all around the country are looking for those late steals and 2025 6’9 Kuai Deng has been making his mark as a late target for many programs. Deng offers a lot on the court and has really elevated his game.
Most recently, scout Zach Smart had this to say about his game: “Wiry 6-9 F w/length, defensive tenacity as a rim protector/guy who can switch from 1 to 5. Has acquired a scoring prowess while developing into double-double threat this season.” (Click Here)
With his production, intrigue, and size, schools around the country and from multiple levels are taking notice. Ole Miss was a big offer recently for Deng, as Phenom Hoops spoke with him shortly after the news and he had this to say:
“Wasn’t too much said on the phone as they called me when I was at the Rutgers game, but he had come out to see me in practice a week or two prior, and we spoke on the phone. He kept it short and simple and just said that he wanted to offer me a scholarship to attend Ole Miss and that he’s going to keep a close eye on our schedule this weekend and throughout the remainder of the season.”
Ole Miss is certainly a big offer, but Deng also holds offers from Manhattan, Towson, Florida A&M, and recently added another offer from Monmouth. The 6’9 prospect has also seen a lot of interest come his way, as Deng mentioned schools like Seton Hall, Tulane, Wichita State, Cornell, Fairfield, Marshall, St. Bonaventure, Iowa, George Mason, Mercer, Memphis, and Fordham have all been coming his way.
