Phenom Hoops was tuned in to watch the Ron Massey Memorial Fall League and 2023 Tyler Rolison was one that stole the show on Day 1. He was able to show his scoring power but also remind everyone that he is more than a scorer. We had this to say after watching Rolison at the event”

“Rolison was unbelievable in what he was able to do on the court. We haven’t seen too much of him, but we quickly realized that he is wired to score and can fill it up in a hurry. Rolison did everything on the floor; being a dynamic scorer, terrific playmaker in transition, showing his range with his perimeter shot, and how electric he can be in the open floor. Loved his ability to find his teammates and make terrific passes, also a very shifty ball handler. Had a terrific first half on Day 1.”

We caught up with Rolison after the event to learn more about the latest in his recruitment, as he breaks it down with us.

Offers: Washington State, San Diego State, Xavier, Oklahoma State, Long Beach State, LMU, George Washington, USC, San Jose State

Phenom: How has everything been going as far as basketball for you'
Rolison: Basketball has been going well for me. Have faced some adversity while playing but that made me the player I am today. This summer, I was injured so I didn’t really get a chance to show what I could really do. This offseason, I was just getting my body back right and as of playing, I’m back to myself plus better.

Phenom: You played well recently at the Ron Massey Memorial Fall League. What are you hoping to remind everyone with your game'
Rolison: Really, just to show that I’m different.  That I could do more than score. I can guard the best player, change the tempo of the game, and make everyone around me better on my team.

Phenom: Is that what your focus has been in showing more over your overall game'
Rolison: Yes, because of how my summer went and I have a chip on my shoulder.

Phenom: How has your recruitment been going' Who has been staying strong with you'
Rolison: Recruitment has been going well. Recently, Grand Canyon, Boise State, San Jose State, and Old Dominion.

Phenom: San Jose State was the latest offer to come your way. Thoughts on them and what did they have to say'
Rolison: That I’m a guard that they are looking for with a chip on their shoulder and that they are looking for someone to bring the program up and they feel I could do that.

Phenom: Have you been able to make any visits in the past' Or any future visits'
Rolison: No not yet. And I don’t have any future visits as of right now.

Phenom: Any timeframe you are looking at'
Rolison: Not Yet.
