It was only going to be a matter of time for 2023 6'3 London Johnson'

Phenom Hoops has been able to watch Johnson's game for some time now and one could see that this young man had the qualities to be a big-time prospect in the coming years.  Playing in multiple camps and as recently as the Hoop State Championship with Liberty Heights, Johnson showed he had the feel and understanding of the game at an early age.

He is a guard that stirs the pot for a program. Johnson's ability to initiate the offense, see the floor and find his teammates, and score on all three levels was big-time.  He has a great frame, he is a confident player, and plays simply under control.  His ability to knock down shots with his smooth jumper as well as taking care of the ball on the floor and be that floor general, are just a few reasons why college programs will be coming his way quickly.

So far this summer though, Johnson has quickly made a bigger name for himself; showing the full arsenal in his game.  Which is why he earned his first offer from Georgia.

'It's very special to me, especially playing during COVID,' he told Phenom Hoops.  'It means a lot that Coach Crean and Coach McClain recognized my sacrifice.”

'Coach McClain reached out expressing how he enjoyed watching me play.  Specifically, the way I read the defense and make the right play, whether it is delivering the pass on time, shooting off the dribble, or attacking the basket.  Additionally, coach mentioned that he loved my craftiness to finish through contact in multiple ways and that I did not allow the defense to dictate my pace.'

Johnson also mentioned that he has been a student of the game, watching SEC games since he was little.  The talent level from the SEC certainly has the attention early on and the chance of matching up against programs like Kentucky and others on any given night, it would certainly prepare him even more for the future.

With the first offer on the table now, other schools could be joining in on the mix quickly. But right now, Johnson is concentrating on bringing home a championship. Just entering his sophomore season and now playing in Georgia, he is looking at the big picture and is focused on one goal.
