It was a busy weekend around the basketball world, and you may have missed a bit of recruiting news, which is why Phenom Hoops is bringing you some of the latest commitments in the last few days.

Rutgers lands 5-star Airious Bailey

It was a weekend to remember certainly for Rutgers' not only did the Scarlet Knights secure a strong win against Ohio State 68-64 on Sunday but they also landed their highest recruit in 2024 6'10 Airious Bailey from McEachern. Bailey has so much to like in his game, as he has incredible size, can be a prolific scorer from all levels, can rise up over defenders, and has an elite skill set.' Bailey received the offer from Rutgers back in October, and ultimately, that was the place for him. Here is what he told 247Sports on his commitment:

“It’s home, it feels like, home,” he said of why he committed to Rutgers. “I got family there, it just feels like home.”

Bailey is the second commitment so far for Rutgers, now joining Dellquan Warren who is a 4-star point guard.  The Scarlet Knights have an early Top-5 class already in the Class of 2024.

2023 Vasean Allette commits to Old Dominion

Old Dominion was another program that received good news in the recruiting world, as 2023 guard Vasean Allette announced he would be coming to the program.  Allette comes from Thornlea Secondary School (Ontario) and also played for Canada Elite; and during his high school time, he was always considered a scoring guard as he continued to showcase his ability to fill it up. Now, Old Dominion hopes that he can bring that firepower to the program in the coming years.

Vermont earns commitment from '23 Seth Joba

The Catamounts learned about a new commitment coming their way in the coming years, as 2023 6'9 Seth Joba announced on Friday his commitment to Vermont.  The forward is currently playing at Bridgton Academy in Maine this season.

New England Recruiting Report's Jared Exler recently said this about his game: 'He is tough to guard on pick & rolls with his ability to pop for treys or roll for powerful finishes. Also has ball skills to attack in straight lines and provides some weak side rim protection.'
