Rozier/ Graham struggle to find their rhythm

It wasn't the offensive game the duo had hoped against the Hawks, as Terry Rozier and Devonte Graham finished 7-for-30 from the field combined and 4-for-15 from three.  The two scoring guards combined for only 20 points in the loss and this is after Rozier's 24-point performance and Graham's 29-point performance against Brooklyn.

Kidd-Gilchrist records 23 minutes of playing time

It was only his third game playing this year but he recorded his most minutes on Sunday with 23 minutes of playing time.  He finished the game with seven points, going 3-for-8 from the floor and 1-for-3 from three.  He actually led the team in minutes coming off the bench, as Cody Zeller wasn't far behind him with 21 minutes.

PJ Washington staying aggressive

Washington only shot six field-goal attempts, going 3-for-6 from the floor but he consistently was able to get to the free-throw line, finishing the night 12-for-13 from the line which was half the free throws the team made in the loss (24-for-29).' Washington finished with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 3 assists vs. Atlanta and was -2 on the floor overall, the best of any starter for the Hornets.

Tidbits for Atlanta Hawks:

  • Trae Young finished with a game-high 30 points, going 9-for-20 from the floor and 4-for-13 from the three.
  • Vince Carter finished with a season-high 17 points in 20 minutes.
  • Atlanta's bench outscored the Hornets bench 57-36
