The Queen City Showcase in Rock Hill this weekend is going to be off the charts. With talent all on the floor, livestreams streaming the games, and a ton of coverage from Phenom Hoops, this is going to be one of the best events to start the travel ball season.
That is why we wanted to get a leg up on it, as we spoke to several coaches that will be bringing their teams to South Carolina this weekend. Below, we look at a few players that you may want to check out on the court, whether you are a college coach, a scout, or a fan.
Check out a few names below for each team.
Team: Dream Elite Shipley 16u
Grant Campbell – 6’7
Coach’s Thoughts: Forward/Center, Inside/Outside player with a good stroke and athleticism. He is a young sophomore (not yet 16) with more physical growth possible in the next two years. One to watch as his game and strength continues to develop.
Dallas Carbaugh – 6’4
Coach’s Thoughts: Forward, Smooth lefty with an inside/outside game, Another young sophomore age-wise with lots of upside on the strength development side.
Jake Poole – 6’2
Coach’s Thoughts: Guard, Athletic shooter/slasher who can play point if needed. Good outside stroke and really strong ability at the rim and in the mid-range game.
Luke Carter – 5’11
Coach’s Thoughts: Guard, Combo guard with good handle and quickness. Skilled at finishing at the rim among larger players.
