The Queen City Showcase in Rock Hill this weekend is going to be off the charts.  With talent all on the floor, livestreams streaming the games, and a ton of coverage from Phenom Hoops, this is going to be one of the best events to start the travel ball season.

That is why we wanted to get a leg up on it, as we spoke to several coaches that will be bringing their teams to South Carolina this weekend.  Below, we look at a few players that you may want to check out on the court, whether you are a college coach, a scout, or a fan.

Check out a few names below for each team.

Team: Charlotte Royals 17u

Xavier Mckelvy – 2022/ 6’2
Coach’s Thoughts: Mckelvy is an explosive and super athletic guard who can score at all three levels. He is wired to score but equally as impressive on the defensive side of the ball.

Jadon Carnes – 2022/ 6’5
Coach’s Thoughts: Carnes is a do-it-all-forward who plays the game the right way. He is a beyond-average shooter and ball-handler but his IQ on the court is what makes him valuable. At 6’5 with long arms, Jadon can also finish above the rim.

Lance Gill- 2023/ 6’3
Coach’s Thoughts: Lance is a wing who can score on all three levels. Lance has a tremendous feel for the game which allows him to get to his spots on the court where he is most effective at.

Marcus Willis- 2022/ 5’10
Coach’s Thoughts: Marcus is an extremely fast playmaking lead guard. He can make plays for himself as well as others on the court. He is a pest on defense and can change a game with his on-ball defense.
