The Queen City Showcase in Rock Hill this weekend is going to be off the charts. With talent all on the floor, livestreams streaming the games, and a ton of coverage from Phenom Hoops, this is going to be one of the best events to start the travel ball season.
That is why we wanted to get a leg up on it, as we spoke to several coaches that will be bringing their teams to South Carolina this weekend. Below, we look at a few players that you may want to check out on the court, whether you are a college coach, a scout, or a fan.

Russell Brunson – 2022/ 6’1
Coach’s Thoughts: Brunson is a talented prospect, lefty, deceptive quickness, great mid-range game, finishes well around the rim, and is a fundamentally sound on the ball defender.
Kyliek Horton – 2022/ 6’5
Coach’s Thoughts: Horton is a kid with Melvin Levett athleticism, rebounds well for a wing, straight-line drive /slasher, adequate shooter, explosive finisher, chiseled physique.
Zach Davis – 2022/ 6’7
Coach’s Thoughts: Zach Davis is a long, athletic player that is a good decision-maker, has great vision, solid finisher, plays the passing lanes well, exceptional upside.
Seth DeBruhl – 2022/6’3
Coach’s Thoughts: Seth is a gamer, shoots it well can finish around the cup very deceptive and crafty at being able to create space. Extremely confident.
Ross Hartzog – 2022/ 5’11
Coach’s Thoughts: High IQ, can shoot it with the best of them, can put it on the floor, above-average court vision, and a quality decision-maker.
Marcus Lane – 2022/ 5’10
Coach’s Thoughts: Feisty floor general, great court vision, stellar on the ball defender, High basketball IQ, the straw that stirs the drink.
Tre’Von Spillers – 2022/ 6’7
Coach’s Thoughts: Athletic with 7 ft wingspan, solid standstill shooter, blocks shots and rebounds well out of space, scores well around the rim, can lead the break, and finish well in traffic.
Jacquez Shuler – 2021/ 7’0
Coach’s Thoughts: Intriguing prospect with upside defensively, plays well out the high post, good looking standstill shooter, great vision for size, above-average rim protector, can turn over either shoulder.
Calvin Hall – 2022/ 6’2
Coach’s Thoughts: Combo guard, three-level scorer, dependable decision-maker, great communicator defensively, above-average vision. Very strong with the ball in his hand very good in pick-and-roll situations.
Mahki Rivers – 2023/ 5’11
Coach’s Thoughts: A human blur in transition, plays great on the ball defense, shoots it well from deep, great rim finisher, good court vision.
Daniel Mayfield – 2021/ 6’8
Coach’s Thoughts: Mayfield is a diamond in the rough, a big wing who shoots it from deep, can handle in transition, can score from all three levels. And is uber-athletic.
