It was Championship Sunday and that only means that teams were going to go home with some hardware. It had been a tremendous event and the players and coaches really came out to compete, but only a few teams could go home with a trophy.
The final game of the night on the arena court, Team Hickory and EA Prep brought the energy and the competitive nature to the floor. These two teams left it all out on the court and what was a fantastic battle to end a terrific event. Back-and forth these teams went, with Team Hickory holding the narrow halftime lead. EA Prep found some success from outside while Hickory stayed aggressive and got to the line. Second half, Ian Blue started to come alive for EA Prep, scoring 16 points to keep his team right there but HIckory continued to find success from the line, as Mari Adams and Daylin Pritchard carried the load in the second half to ultimately secure the 62-59 win for Team Hickory.
