The Queen City Middle School Showcase brings a fantastic event to the city of Charlotte, North Carolina, giving families, friends, and fans a chance to see the next upcoming talent around the area.

Every year, players and teams showcase their abilities in front of hundreds of fans and scouts with Phenom Hoops.  It is also a chance to learn early and gain national exposure at an early age, as highlights, social media posts, write-ups and photos will all be part of this great event.

Phenom Hoop Report does believe in providing a great platform for teams, which is why we want to provide a little team preview heading into the event.  If you would like to still register for the event, please click here: Queen City Middle School Showcase

Next Level SC 14U

Coach: Carlos Bryson

Here are players to watch for at the Queen City Middle School Showcase on February 23-24.

DJ Barksdale
5’8 Guard
Class of 2023

Coaches Thoughts: Elite level athleticism.  Excellent two-way player who is able to score at all three levels.  Great consistency as a three point shooter also. DJ plays with a level of maturity not seen by most 14 year olds.  He rebounds the ball extremely well from the guard position and finishes well in traffic.

Jaden “Cowboy” Boyd
6’2 Wing/Forward
Class of 2023

Coaches Thoughts: Jaden has great physical attributes and is a very good two-way player.   He runs the floor extremely well and possesses great length and hands.  He has a great shooting touch from 15 feet.  Jaden provides great resistance on the defensive end allowing him to contest on the perimeter and in the paint.

CJ Pope
6’2 Guard Combo/Small Forward
Class of 2023

Coaches Thoughts: CJ has a very high ceiling as player.  He impacts the game on both ends of the court, possessing great energy on the defensive end.  His length makes it tough for opposing guards.  He runs the floor extremely well on offense and is capable of scoring at all three levels.

Will Brooks
6’1 Wing/Small Forward
Class of 2023

Coaches Thoughts: Will has great potential.  He is a good all-around player with a knack for rebounding and scoring.  He does a great job using his length to rebound and score in the lane.  He has a very effective mid-range game and plays for his teammates.
