Player: Brielle Hopkins
Class: 2028
School: Myers Park
We were on deck throughout the event this past weekend for yet another memorable George Lynch Invitational, as Lady Phenom got a chance to check out some big-time talent on the court. But it also gave us a chance to learn some new names as well to monitor. One player who earned our attention as a young prospect who showed flashes of potential was 2028 Brielle Hopkins at Myers Park.
Hopkins, being only a freshman, has tremendous size and a solid feel for the game as a young prospect. She was able to show how she can impact the game in a variety of ways, plays hard on the defensive end, uses her size well, and was able to give us flashes of her offensive game especially making plays off the dribble and attacking the basket. She excels well getting downhill and finishing, understanding how to use her length really well to her advantage. You add on top of her ability to rebound well, create turnovers, and alter shots to go with her versatility, Hopkins has a chance to be a prospect for college programs down the road. This is why we are learning more about her game and putting her on our watchlist now.
