2025 6’5 Joel Deigna (Oak Ridge Military): Deigna came out strong with a 31-point performance to start his day and backed that up with another strong showing at the Jamboree.  This is a young man who has clearly taking the necessary steps in his game, has gotten better every time, and still has room for growth. But you know what you are going to get from him with his athleticism, his improvement in his jumper from mid-range and three, and his ability to play/guard multiple positions defensively. Very interesting prospect that continues to see his stock rise.

2026 6’1 Justyn Whitfield (VCCS): Victory Christian is coming off a memorable season last year but also lost a lot of talent from last year as well. However, Whitfield is one that I think should get a bit more attention and had a strong start to the season. Whitfield looks to be one of the clear leaders for this team this year, as he has a good overall feel for the game that can hurt you off the bounce or in catch-and-shoot situations with range.  He has a chance to really shine for this team, as he will be taking on much more as a leader this upcoming season.

2025 6’2 Jordyn Washington (Mallard Creek): We have had a chance to watch Washington over the last month or so, and he has shown that he is one of the go-to guys for this year’s team and has a chance to leave his mark as a senior. Washington is able to be assertive and get to his spots, being a multi-level scorer with good athleticism at the rim but also looking for his jumper.  He mixes it up well in getting downhill but also can get to the line as well.

2026 6’1 Owen Calvert (Calvary Day): You have to love a player who plays with an edge, brings toughness and grit to the table, and simply produces each time he steps on the court. Calvert has been doing just that, looking to prove more about his game, attacking opponents and being assertive offensively, and showing that he can be a true offensive weapon in finishing tough shots in the lane as well as from outside.  Calvert has really impressed with his offensive intensity, not backing down from anyone and being a true go-to guy for his team this summer.
