Gaston Christian had a strong overall showing this season, as the Lady Eagles finished the year with a 15-6 overall record and was 10-2 in conference play. This was a team that has some intriguing talent overall but 2026 6’6 Happy Arune is one that certainly grabs your attention first on the court.
The 6’6 center had a very good season, racking up double-doubles and being a force both offensively and defensively, as Lady Phenom caught up recently with her about her game:
“I play center and I’m strong at finishing under the rim. I love high passes, I block and rebound well both on the offensive and defensive side. I like to do big man moves under the basket and I finish well with contact. Since my freshman year, I have kept improving the number of rebounds and points, so my average continues to get better, and I still want to continue to improve so I can also develop every other aspect of my game. I am going to run track, so I stay in shape for the coming club season.”
She was one of the top shot-blockers in the area, she was consistent with her presence inside, and she should be a prospect to watch more of this upcoming summer.
