Player: Landon King
School: West Charlotte
Class: 2022
Height: 6’0
Position: Guard

We have watched 2022 Landon King for a little while now, whether it was in the summer during travel ball, his time at Independence, or now his time at West Charlotte.  But every time we have seen the 6’0 guard in action, King has had a strong performance.  He is doing it once again to start this season at West Charlotte, as he is averaging 20ppg to start the season, shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor and scoring in a variety of ways.

When you look to describe King’s game, one word that comes to mind is tough. King does a terrific job in creating for himself and being able to score in a variety of ways, whether it is putting on the deck and penetrating but also stepping up with his outside game.  If you need proof, just see what has been said about him in the last few months from our scouts:

“2022 Landon King (West Charlotte) continues to be an effective, tough scorer. Creating well for himself, finishing strong through defenders, and being a physical, tough guard.” – Patrick O’Brien

“2022 6’1 Landon King (Charlotte Guards) continued his show this afternoon to the tune of 34 points as his team won a close game down the stretch. He filled it up from beyond the arch and while knifing through the lane with a myriad of crosses and spins.” – Saadiq Coleman

“6’1 2022 Landon King (Charlotte Guards) is putting on a scoring clinic. Getting to the basket, knocking down shots from 3. Expect him to have a big year at West Charlotte.” – Colby Lewis

“6’1 2022 Landon is an incredibly willing scorer. King plays with an elite level of aggression, never showing any signs of intimidation when on the floor. Very short memory, as misses don’t deter him from shooting.” – DeAjai Dawkins

King has been an underrated guard in the Charlotte area but it is time to put some eyes his way as he looks to help lead his team at West Charlotte.
