AJ Dybantsa – Committed to BYU

Whether it was watching him years ago as a freshman or tonight at the McDonald’s All-American game, the 6’9 prospect EASILY shows why he will be a one-and-done with his scoring ability, length, and overall impact. Dybantsa’s ability to score from all over the court is quite impressive, and he is incredibly effective in creating his own shot. There isn’t a spot he can’t score from, attacking strong at the dribble, getting to the rim and flourishing with his length, scoring off the catch, displaying hangtime and athleticism, and simply a nightmare matchup that will find him in the NBA sooner rather than later. I truly believe he can score whenever he wants.

Darryn Peterson – Committed to Kansas

As I said two years ago, Peterson is simply different (Click Here). When watching him two years ago, I haven’t seen many players that can simply score when they want, how they want, and do it time after time. When the ball is in his hands, he is instant offense and is a truly dangerous 3-level scorer with ease. Has tremendous range and comfort from the perimeter; he creates so well off the bounce and defenders can’t stop him, and as a 6’6 athletic prospect, Peterson finishes tough at the rim. Going to Kansas, I believe he has a chance to lead the team in scoring and wouldn’t be surprised if he averages 15-20 points per game as a freshman next year.

Shon Abaev – Committed to Cincinnati

I have become a big fan of this young man’s game and can’t wait to see what he brings at the next level. I do believe that he can come in and immediately make an impact for this program, being one of the go-to scorers, and he could be sneaking up on a few NBA Draft boards. I’m telling you, his ability to score and knock down shots, getting to his spots with a quick release, has terrific range in his overall game, and his athleticism in scoring downhill are intriguing. He is one I would keep an eye on, especially as he gets stronger.

Cameron and Cayden Boozer – Committed to Duke

These two are going to come into Duke and be able to have an instant impact for the Blue Devils. Cameron, at 6’9, is such an impressive prospect with how fluid he operates, his comfort level from inside and out, and his ability to really dominate the glass. You can’t help but be impressed with how well he moves, creating for himself off the bounce, showing tremendous IQ, and will be a force next season. Cayden was also impressive at the event. As a 6’4 guard, he plays with tremendous poise and has tremendous court awareness. He scores well off the bounce, takes what the defense gives him, and flourishes as a playmaker but has such a smooth scoring impact on the court.

Tounde Yessoufou – Committed to Baylor

Yessoufou is a 6’5, strong-framed prospect that already has a proven track record at the high school level. Watching him in this game, you can’t help but fall in love with his energy and impact, playing hard on both sides of the court, getting the passing lanes, attacking out in transition, and scoring strong at the rim. He just seemed to be making plays in several areas of the court, and I believe that his motor, his scoring ability, and his physicality will be used well at Baylor.

Other Notes:

Caleb Wilson – Committed to North Carolina

One can see not only the impact he provides on both sides but also his potential. Great frame, is competitive, was active defensively, and has tremendous length at 6’9, along with mobility. He should be able to be used in a variety of ways at Chapel Hill.

Meleek Thomas – Committed to Arkansas

Can’t wait to see what Calipari will be able to do with Thomas. Listed at 6’4 but is one that plays much bigger with his length. Instant offense, creates so well for himself and others, scores so well off the bounce, but also can pull up from all levels. Incredibly shifty and has a good change of speed, and he brings offense to the table whether it is scoring or facilitating.

Mikel Brown Jr. – Committed to Louisville

Brown Jr. is simply electric with the ball in his hands. We know about his ability to knock down shots and his range, but Brown Jr. is so much fun when you watch him facilitating, creating off the bounce with his crossover, and really shining as a true point guard. His vision and passing is elite, and he should be able to bring that instantly to Louisville next season.

Chris Cenac Jr. – Committed to Houston

Houston has themselves a good one coming, as he will be able to bring size at 6’10 but you can see that he is a very skilled big. Scored at the rim, good hands, and was active on the glass, Cenac should be a force inside but is also really opening eyes with his ability to stretch the court.
