2023 Orlando Hudson (Carolina Bad Boyz): Hudson may be a familiar name to some but a new one to others. But one thing is for sure… the guard produced every time he touched the court this past weekend in Rock Hill. He plays poised and with a mature game, really displaying strong handles, and scoring well from multiple levels. He posted multiple 20-point performances all weekend long and got after it on both sides of the ball.
2023 McCaskill Rivers (CB Hoops): Though Rivers isn’t a new name personally for Phenom Hoops, he may be a new name for many others. But the 6’7 forward had a great showing all weekend long for CB Hoops. He is excellent on the block, shows great touch, works hard on the boards, and plays with a smart feel on the floor. He is coming off a season in which he averaged an impressive double-double, really continuing to bring a stronger presence down low. McCaskill is one to start keeping tabs on more.
2024 Jaden Palmore (Upward Stars McConnell): Palmore attracted more eyes with his game, as the point guard really played at a terrific pace and under control. He showed that he can score the ball effectively when needed but also be that true point guard in running the show. Palmore’s vision and feel were noticeable, as he made the game much easier for everyone on the court. Really liked his decision-making.
2024 Vophcy Prophete (Team MOAM): Prophete was a new name personally for us at Phenom Hoops but he really was a consistent presence all weekend long for his team. He is a long, athletic wing that can score in a variety of ways but especially excels in getting downhill and either finishing around the rim or showcasing his bounce. Prophete covers a lot of ground with his stride and creates well for himself, as e was consistent in scoring the ball all weekend long.
