2022 De’Ante Green (Asheville Christian): What else could be said other than Green was absolutely dominating on the court. He seemingly had a hand in nearly every play on the floor and he couldn’t be stopped, as he scored effectively down low, finishing strong and throwing it down, but also showing how he can be a threat from all over the floor. You add that to his dominance on the boards, there wasn’t anyone stopping Green on Day 1 in Lewisville.
2023 Isaiah Joyner (Asheville Christian): Joyner really stepped up and was the other offensive scoring threat for his team, as he really showcased his perimeter game. He was second in scoring in the game, chipping in 22 points and hitting six 3-pointers for his team. He couldn’t miss much of the game.
2022 Brandon Morgan (Forsyth Country Day): Though it was a tough outing at times for his team, Morgan was the bright spot on the night, scoring 22 points and playing such a competitive game. He never gave in, played with a great motor, made plays on both ends, and was able to show that he can make shots from the perimeter. He was the go-to guy and stepped up as a senior for his team.
2022 Kheni Briggs (The Burlington School): Coming off the bench, Briggs really stepped up and made his presence known in an array of ways. He made so many hustle plays in the game, whether it was getting to the loose balls, attacking the boards, or creating off the dribble, Briggs just made strong play after strong play to help his team get off to a good start on Day 1.
2022 Kam Craft (TSF): The Xavier commit was a very intriguing player to watch operate on the floor. Why' When you add his shiftiness/ craft on the court and you add his 6’6 size, he showed that he was able to get to his spots, create for himself, and really display good touch on his shot. Scored with his floaters as well as his perimeter shots.
2024 Zion Walker (The Burlington School): Walker was tremendous on both ends of the court. He shot the ball extremely well from the perimeter, one of his better outings we have seen with his shot-making ability, but also finished well when he was able to penetrate. You add all that to his defensive presence, putting constant pressure on opponents and never letting off the gas, Walker had a strong showing.
