2024 Quasim Oden (Grace Christian): I’ve been a big fan of Oden this summer. Seeing him a few times already, Oden continues to be a bright spot and brings instant production to the table when on the court. The blend of his ability to create, makes plays off the dribble, get inside and get paint touches, ability to finish through contact, and his overall toughness, really do believe Oden could see a rise up the rankings as he continues to be a strong piece on the floor.
2024 Salah Sutton (New Life Christian): It was a tough first game to start but Sutton was one of the true bright spots for his team. The 2024 guard showed how crafty and shifty he can be on the floor, playing at his pace and reading the defense well. He also did a strong job in creating his own opportunities from multiple levels.
2025 Xavion Terrell (Team Legacy): IT isn’t always about scoring on the court… it can be about what kind of impact a player can bring to his team and Terrell really stepped up to help his team. He did capitalize on a few scoring opportunities but it was everything else he did, whether it was defending, blocking shots in transition, attacking the boards, and playing with a ton of hustle.
2027 Cace Carter (CP3 Select): The young guard really showed his confidence and range on the floor. Carter was able to get to his spots well, showcases a fluid shooting motion, and can really change the game with his outside shooting. In Game 2 alone, he hit eight 3-pointers to help his team to the win.
2025 Trent Steinour (Carolina Heights): It is starting to sound like a broken record but every time you watch Steinour, he shows just how skilled of a big he is at his age. Really do love his ability to stretch the floor with his outside shot but continues to display great footwork and timing on the boards as well, helping him finish and be active down in the paint.
2025 Malachi Simpson (NLPB): Simpson is a name that should start trending more in the class of 2025. Already 6’5, he is an athletic guard that plays extremely hard, gets downhill and can finish well. He is quick, shifty, and creates well off the bounce. He made some big-time plays for his team all throughout Day 1.
2025 Zymicah Wilkins (Carolina Heights): Wilkins came in in Game 2 and showcased once again why he should be considered one of the top bigs in the country with his style of play and his skillset. I continue to be impressed with how he can operate at a young age with his footwork, his feel in the post, his presence on both sides of the floor, and even now showing his ability to step out with his jumper as a big man. Truly impressive.
2024 Josh Helms (Wilmington Excel): Helms played at a high level in each game on Day 1; strong showing from the guard. He is a quick guard, created well off the bounce, and knocked down shots from multiple levels. Helms displayed his range and playmaking ability all throughout the day, while also managing the game well.
