2027 Jarvis Hayes Jr. (Atlanta Xpress)
Hayes was a player that I was eager to see again, and he was able to show why he is such an intriguing prospect with his blend of length, athleticism, and ability to score. A bouncy guard that has a long frame, which allows him to create and finish high, knock-down shots over defenders, or get to the rim consistently. Hayes excels well out in transition and can score with consistency from all three levels. He has a lot of tools that you like in a prospect and should only continue to get better and stronger.
2027 RJ Moore (Garner Road)
Moore is going to be a name you hear a lot more about this summer, as he has had an impressive few months. He has carried that over to the start of the summer, really showcasing his ability and how wired he is to be an offensive threat. He shows that he is one you just want to get the ball in his hands and all him to go to work, scoring off the bounce, creating space, and showing range and confidence with his jumper. Truly do believe that this is just the start for this young man, as he will be a hot target for many.
2027 JJ Brown (Game Elite)
Brown was an entirely new name for me, but I liked what I saw from the forward. Though a bit undersized, this is a forward who really proved to be effective inside and out. Brown displayed good hands and touch, as well as using his frame to score inside the paint, and being a presence on the glass. But he was also comfortable facing up with his mid-range game and further out, really opening up the floor and showing comfort from a variety of levels. He was a name that impressed me but will now be on our radars.
2027 Kevin Savage (Game Elite)
Savage is a quick and crafty point guard who has been garnering the attention of many college programs. He displays good speed and court awareness, pushing well in transition, being shifty enough to weave through defenses, and being a playmaker as well as a shot-maker with good overall range. Loved his confidence from outside, pulling up from behind the arc and knocking down shots with a smooth release, but also a terrific ball handler and creator.
2027 DJ Wylie (Team Unleashed)
Wylie is one that I would really keep an eye on in South Carolina, as he impressed with his overall presence when watching him. You have to like his size and upside, and he did a great job in being a presence on both ends. He competed well, made valuable plays on the defensive end, used his bounce to his advantage on both ends, and was able to sit down and guard. Offensively, he finished at the rim well while also being confident enough from the perimeter.
2027 Evan Toms (444 Athletics)
Toms was one that I walked away from and simply just loved his production on the court. He wasn’t flashy, but he just stayed engaged, competed, and took advantage of the opportunities he had. Toms did a great job in battling on the glass, looking to create second-chance opportunities and just being active around the basket to score effectively. He brought tremendous value on the court and was able to bring strong production to the table without being a huge focal point.
