Phenom Hoops hit the road on Monday to check out a few more teams playing at the Garner Showcase. A fun and thrilling day of basketball, here are the players that caught the eyes of our scouts.

Final: Sanderson 59 – GRACE Christian 58

2021 6’9 Keeyan Itejere (GRACE Christian): Itejere started out in a little foul trouble but continued to stay aggressive and with his length, mobility, and athleticism, he took advantage of the opportunities. Itejere exploded for a couple of thunderous dunks, rising above his opponents but also displaying his continued work on his overall offensive capabilities; putting on the deck, running in transition, and showing nice touch. Stats: 18 points

2020 6’4 Tylan Green (Sanderson): Green does a little bit of everything and with him playing out of position and against the trees, he handled himself pretty well.  The senior prospect played unselfish basketball, displaying a great feel for his teammates, playing with his head up, scoring around the rim, tremendous hands, and ability to battle on the boards. Really made an impact on both ends of the floor for Sanderson. Stats: 13 points

2020 5’10 Kamon Green (Sanderson): The senior guard was extremely aggressive, getting downhill on multiple occasions, scoring at the rim or getting fouled in the process.  He also displayed his range on multiple occasions.  He played with great speed and was strong in the half-court set.  GRACE had issues staying in front of him for much of the day. Stats: 23 points

2020 6’11 Jaylon Gibson (GRACE Christian): You don’t see too many prospects with his blend of size, athleticism, and mobility. Going up against Sanderson and their lack of size, he showed tremendous versatility scoring the ball. His touch and ability to get around defenders in the post, displaying great feel with his back to the basket. If he wasn’t around the rim, he pushing the ball in transition and showing off his handles, as well as being as stepping out. Stats: 20 points

Final: Millbrook 86 – Hillside 70

2021 6’9 Will Felton (Millbrook): Felton continues to improve his game and he simply gets it down around the rim.  He was incredibly active, attacking the boards, showing soft touch, and running rim-to-rim, going 10-for-11 from the floor and going 7-for-10 from the free throw line.  Felton continues to improve and be a monster for Millbrook this season. Stats: 27 points, 7 rebounds

2020 6’0 Trey Crews (Hillside): Crews was every for Hillside at the Garner Showcase.  Crews ability to create off the dribble, push the break, and his change of speed was difficult for defenders to keep in front.  Respecting his speed and change of pace, Crews also showed he can hurt you from deep, showing his range on multiple occasions. Stats: 27 points, 6 rebounds

2020 6’4 Jalen McCoy (Millbrook): McCoy was absolutely unstoppable and incredibly efficient in the win, going 15-for-20 from the floor and only shooting one 3-pointer on his way to a 30-point performance.  A 6’4 guard, he has incredibly wingspan that allows him to play bully ball and rise up over defenders.  That is what he did all day long and Hillside couldn’t stop it. Stats: 30 points
