2022 Niccolo Moretti (DME Academy): This being my second viewing of this young man, I’m starting to become a big fan of what he provides and how he operates on the court. He may have the best vision and touch in finding his teammates at the event, delivering precise dimes to his teammates, showing a shifty game as a ball-handler, really plays at a great pace, and also can create his own scoring opportunities.
2022 Takai Simpkins (Liberty Heights): Simpkins filled up the stat sheet to start his day, really giving everyone a view of his balanced attack and how effective he can be in several areas of the court. He did a tremendous job in finding and setting up his teammates for easy baskets but also using his length to get on the boards and score when the opportunities were there.
2022 Josiah Dow (Liberty Heights): Dow can really be a tough matchup for teams at times, especially with his ability to step out and showcase his ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. Dow does a tremendous job and has a ton of confidence with his outside shot, especially from three which really can open things up and pull the defense out, as you have to respect his shot.
2022 Taylor Henderson (WS Christian): Henderson quickly caught our eyes with her play early and it continued throughout. Already committed to UNCW, Henderson did a great job in impacting the game on both ends, really attacking defensively but also putting the ball on the deck to score and getting on the glass. Really looks to be a good get for UNCW.
2022 Senali Moss (South Meck): It was our first viewing of the senior guard and was impressed with what we saw, especially with how tough she played. She is a shifty guard with the ball in her hands, showing the ability to create opportunities for herself and get into the defense. Also loved her activity level on the defensive end, just always seemingly getting her hands on loose balls and creating multiple steals.
2023 Jaydin Spillman (Calvary Day): Spillman had an excellent Day 1 and he backed that up with another big-time performance. Racking up another 20+ point performance again, Spillman continues to show his growth and feel for the game and how he has developed into an all-around forward that is comfortable from the perimeter, is incredibly fluid on the floor, and still has a ton of potential left in his game to reach.
2022 De’Ante Green (Asheville Christian): Green continues to show why he is the top player in North Carolina and at times, he makes it look easy. He simply gets what he wants, is a matchup nightmare on the floor, has only gotten stronger and is a big presence in the paint, and we really haven’t seen anyone slow him down in a game this season.
2022 Sam Cogan (Northside Christian): Cogan has been a great fit for this team and has been a big part to this team’s success since he joined the team. He plays with a great feel and IQ, not forcing anything, plays within the offense, and just plays tough on the court. Really helps make this team tick.
