2024 Carter Bobbitt (Horry Select): Bobbit had a very good showing on Day 2 when we watched him, scoring 19 of his 25 points in the second half and doing so in a variety of ways. Bobbitt was a crafty scorer from multiple levels but doing most of his work knocking down shots with his mid-range shot as well as getting to the basket. The 6’4 brought a ton of production to the table to help his team to a victory.
2024 Jaylon Bumpass (Team Legend): Bumpass has been a consistent force for much of the weekend, continuing to show his ability to fill it up and do so in a variety of ways. Bumpass is a long, wiry guard that is able to create well, read the floor, get inside the defense to score, but also pull up over defenders to knock down shots. Consistency has been key for this young man so far.
2024 Stanley Njekwe (Manchester Giants): Njekwe is a new name for us at Phenom Hoops, coming from overseas but there was a lot of intrigue with his game. Though he is still developing his feel and all, he has the size, strength, and athleticism that grabs your attention, while also being one that plays with a motor. Big time athleticism in finishing at the rim, and he showcased that on several occasions on Day 2.
2024 Patrick Penosky (ACE SD Elite): Talk about a showing from Penosky, as the 6’2 guard was going off in the first half and played well in the second half. Penosky was scoring in a variety of ways, especially knocking down shots off the catch. Whether it was his mid-range or from the perimeter, Penosky was shooting the ball extremely well and with confidence.
2025 Dylan Craven (Brantwood Hawks): Craven was a name that we have talked about on several occasions before and he has been very solid throughout the Summer Havoc so far. Craven is a high IQ point guard that makes tremendous decisions and finds his teammates well. He is vocal, team-first type of guy and leads by example. He does a great job in limiting turnovers and making plays for others.
2024 Darius Franklin (Carolina Rebels): In what was a tight game going back and forth, it was Franklin who stepped up and secured the big victory for his team. With his size and ability to put the ball on the deck, Franklin consistently was able to get to the basket and finish strong, as well as through contact. Eventually hit the game-winner in a great game.
2025 Jaylen Lampkins (NC Heels): Lampkins was off the charts today to help his team, as he came out firing from deep and connecting on three after three. For a guard his size, he has tremendous bounce and used that to rise up well to knock down shots from outside all throughout. But he also made several other strong plays in finding his teammates.
2024 Jaquarious Patterson (Team KST): There is a lot to like about Patterson, and we do believe that he should be garnering more interest with his 6’6 frame and production. Size, athleticism, and the ability to make plays from a variety of levels. Really like how fluid he can operate, strong finishing with bounce, and makes strong decisions on the floor.
