2023 Derek Bradley (Westminster Catawba): The senior point guard played well throughout the game, showing his ability to not only run the show for his team but also to be an effective scorer on the court. Bradley brings a physical game to the floor, getting in the paint to find ways to score but also make plays for his teammates. He was at his best breaking down defenders and attacking the defense, scoring well around defenders and getting to the line, but he also made an impact in rebounding and defensively.
2023 AJ Reeves (Quality Education): Coming off the bench, Reeves really stepped up for his team in a variety of ways. He showed that he has the ability to step out and knock down shots from three and mid-range, but also uses his frame to be effective in the paint, carve out space, and battle on the boards. Really good showing from the senior off the bench and a huge contributor to the team’s win on Day 2.
2024 Bobby Cannon (Quality Education): Cannon has had a really solid weekend at the Carmel Tip-Off. The 6’10, lengthy forward has made his presence felt in a variety of ways, whether it was attacking and being effective on the boards on Day 1 but also showing that he can make plays blocking/altering shots, scoring from all levels of the floor, finding his open teammates, and being that vocal presence for his team.
2023 Antonio Perkins (Northside Christian): The senior came through once again, as Perkins simply continues to showcase his production and being that guy that understands/ knows how to make plays all over the court. Perkins just finds a way to get the ball in his hands, helping on the boards, battling in the paint, creating his own shots from multiple areas, and being a team-first player. This is the second day he has really produced.
2023 Kamar Goudelock (Northside Christian): Goudelock is a player that understands what his role is with this team. The veteran guard competes and understands when to step up and make plays, knocking down key shots, creating turnovers and playing strong on-ball defense, and being that glue guy that the team needs. He doesn’t need to be the star but steps up big when called upon.
2023 Cannon Keziah (Northwood Temple): Much like he showed on Day 1, Keziah came out strong and confident with his ability to knock down shots and create. Keziah is a player that simply doesn’t lack confidence and will always let it fly when left open. He knocked down multiple threes again but did a great job in making plays off the dribble, getting others involved, and competing on both ends.
2026 Yohance Connor (1of1): As just a young guard here in North Carolina, got a feeling that Connor is going to be a name you will be hearing a lot in the coming years. Connor is one of the best two-way guards in the state and should be known more nationally in my opinion. He was terrific in being able to get downhill and finish, but he also plays with a ton of energy on the defensive end. One of the best on-ball defenders that creates so much havoc defensively.
2026 LJ Rush (1of1): Just another young guard for the program, Rush is another guard you will be hearing a lot about in the coming year as well. Rush is absolutely electric with his speed and pace, especially when the ball in his hands. He understands how to use that speed to his advantage to get downhill, push in transition, attack the defense and create for his teammates, and also being able to finish around defenders and at the basket. Such a terrific playmaking guard and is one of the quickest guards in the state.
2024 Trentyn Flowers (Combine Academy): Flowers was a standout on Day 1 and he continued his stellar play on Day 2. When his team needed him the most, he elevated his play and showed why he was one of the top players in the country, as he is able to effectively operate from multiple positions, score effortlessly with his pull-up game, and use his size to his advantage as well as his ability to make plays off the dribble. He hit some huge shots when his team needed them.
2023 Collin Tanner (Combine Academy): Tanner might not always get the praise he deserves but, in this game, he stepped up big for his team in a variety of ways. He battled on the boards and created second-chance opportunities, he found teammates when he attacked and kicked, and was able to finish and score from all levels. He quietly had a very productive game and stepped up big in a heated game.
