Hargrave Academy has produced a ton of talent and you can go back year after year to see the success the program has had. And that is continuing this year as well.

One player that has played strong for the program and has seen their game elevate while at Hargrave is 2021 Jordan Battle.  But in all honesty, this shouldn't come as a surprise because Battle has been an extremely effective guard for quite some time now.  Before Hargrave, he was a scoring machine at Norfolk Collegiate high school, where he averaged 26 points throughout his CAREER, along with 8.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.8 steals per game.  This year though, he is averaging 15.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game at Hargrave.

So the real question is why wouldn't you like a prospect that would describe their game as a high-intensity player who is versatile and unselfish, but also one that finishes above the rim and can score from all three levels, defend, and rebounds' And who has been putting up those types of numbers consistently'

Getting a chance to play at Hargrave though, Battle says it has only helped him with his game even more.

'It has helped my game a lot from the tough hardcore workouts to competing against high-major guards every day in practice, which also helps a lot because when we go against top-ranked teams, you already know what to expect.'

It was a little confusing why his recruitment wasn't taken off but hey, now it is starting to get on track, as he has now earned offers from Eastern Kentucky and Utah Valley University.

'It was an exciting and relieving moment for me and my family,' Battle talked about his offer from Eastern Kentucky. 'Coach Hamilton told me he loved my game and how many different aspects I brought to the game. He felt that I would be a great fit in their style of play.'

'(And for Utah Valley), Coach Madsen and I have been in touch for a while now,' he continued. 'He always tells me how much he loves the way I can play and guard different positions on the court.'

Those are the only two offers on the table for Battle right now but he also mentioned schools like Chicago State, NJIT, James Madison, and Eastern Michigan have also expressed interest.
