6'4 '23 Jah Short (Farmville Central)
There's no hiding the personal likening for Short, his game, and consistent progression into become a star over the last few years. He possesses great length, athleticism, and two-way instincts. Short can reliably create for himself or others with the ball in his hands. He's great at attacking the basket and applying pressure as a downhill force, both in transition and the half-court. Short is a capable shooter from midrange and beyond the arc, but also understands how to mix it up rather than settle for low-quality looks. He's displays sharp anticipation defensively, rebounds the ball at a solid rate, and simply knows how to lead in an intelligent manner. Short should be the best player on the floor for either team.
6'6 '23 Daevin Hobbs (Jay M. Robinson)
While his status as a football prospect continues to rise, Hobbs has more than maintained his on-court ability. He's a big, strong, versatile forward with athleticism and a pretty well-rounded offensive skillset. Hobbs' body and physical nature allows him to easily affect all facets of the game. He's regularly shown the ability to score from all levels, able to knock down shots or simply overpower opponents from within the paint. Hobbs typically controls the glass, and understands how to push the break as needed in transition. While his skillset is worth noting, his size (as the biggest player on either team) will probably be the bigger factor.
The Jaguars always have a slew of players who can provide meaningful minutes, and Jayden Pitt is as valuable as anyone on the roster. He's a tough, scrappy, unselfish floor general with a nice blend of vision, penetration ability, and defensive prowess. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs will need productive showings from guys like Zi'Kei Wheeler, Jaylan Jackson, and Jermaine Gray to control this contest. Wheeler and Jackson are both rugged guards while Gray is a strong, slightly undersized post who plays bigger than his listed height. Both teams have plenty of talent and should make for an entertaining game.
