2028 Draeton Nance (Team Fly):
Nance has proven himself time after time on the court at Phenom events, and it is time for others to start learning his name more. Nance consistently produces but does so in a variety of ways. Whether you need him to be a playmaker or a true scoring threat, he provides a lot on the court and makes quality decisions based on what is given to him. With his strong frame, he can excel well attacking the paint and getting downhill but can also hurt you with his jumper. If scoring isn’t there, he makes strong decisions in finding his teammates as well.
2028 Zion Johnson (Team United GSO):
Johnson is a newer name but one that I would jot down and continue to monitor as he develops. One can’t deny his shear size at 6’5 at his age, as he helps control the paint on both ends and impacts the game on the boards and altering shots. He is still developing and understanding more of his offensive game but there is still upside overall in what he could and his overall impact. A big man to really watch as he adds more overall.
2028 Ayo Awo Sanya (Cota Elite):
Another player who has excelled extremely well on the Phenom platform, and it is time for more to join in and start learning about his game. Sanya is a versatile young prospect that has a lot of upside to his game. He can play multiple positions, has a strong understanding and skillset early on, finishes at the rim, and shows that he can be effective on both sides of the court at multiple positions. He always seems engaged and active on the court and brings a lot to the table overall for his team.
2028 Jaleel Smith (Carolina Wolfpack):
Smith is a name that many have learned but he could really start to become a bigger name around the region, as this is a young man who plays well beyond his years as a prospect in the Class of 2028. We have truly seen him grow and understand more of the game, how he can impact and be a 3-level scorer but also be one that helps get others involved and compete on the defensive end. Smith brings a strong motor and grittiness to the table, and I’m eager to see how he continues to add more to his game. Strong leader on the court.
