Need More Attention
DJ Cuttino 2022 (Hickory Grove) -DJ was in complete control in their upset win over Cannon School. Hickory Grove needed DJ to have a bigtime performance and that is exactly what he did. He made big shot after big shot. He was scoring from all three levels. He is a smart, quick, crafty guard who can impact the game on both sides of the ball. He finished the game with a game high 27 points.
Marcus Kell 2022 (Legion Academy) – The game is looking more and more comfortable every time we watch Marcus play. He continued to improve immensely each and every outing. He is starting to become a 3-level scorer and has become one of the area’s top perimeter shooters. He has a chance to get 20+ each game.
KJ Garrett 2021 (High Point Christian) – KJ Garrett is having a really impressive senior year. He has taken over the leadership role. We really loved the way he led his team. Even though they lost at the buzzer, KJ illustrated that he has the ability to take over games. He is a paint touch guard who is able to score at the rim or find open teammates for easy shots. He has also expanded his game and is capable of knocking down perimeter shots consistently. A school is going to hit the lottery with him.
Will Kelly 2022 (Gaston Christian) – Will Kelly has been impressive all season for Gaston Christian. He is at the top of everyone’s scouting report. He is a high IQ player who does a tremendous job finishing at the rim. Not only is he a high IQ basketball player, but he also has a 4.25GPA. He averaged 28 points in their two games at the Holiday Classic. Look for his stock to be on the rise. His recent play has garnished him interest from Virginia Tech.
Cinque Lemon 2022 (Cape Fear) – The 6’6 wing really excels in transition. His long frame allows him to cause chaos on and off the ball getting multiple deflections and steals. He does a great job rebounding for his position. He has the ability to not only create for himself but for others as well. He has a nice mid-range game as well.
Julien Williams 2021 (Northwood Temple) – He was really good in all of their games. He is an athletic forward who can strep out and knock down midrange J’s. We love how athletic he is and finishes well on dump off passes and lobs. He plays with so much passion and energy. He impacts the game with his motor and how hard he plays on the court.
