We got an opportunity to watch 6'6 '18 Will O'Connor of Greenfield Central extensively at the 2nd Annual Indy Top 80 camp. He was an effective and reliable two-way player that has the ability to stretch the defense with his ability to knock down perimeter shots. Will plays with poise and maturity and showcased an excellent feel for the game and high basketball IQ.

At the Indy Top 80 camp, camp coach Joey Burton stated, 'Will can shoot the 3-pointer off the catch, but also likes to use the one dribble pull up.' We were impressed with his ability to play within the confines of the game and demonstrated patience. Rarely did Will rush or try to manufacture a shot, but simply allowed the game come to him. Unlike many players at his size/position, Will worked extremely hard to get open. He moved well without the ball. He utilized face cuts, ball screens and made moments with purpose.

Will is having an outstanding season for Greenfield Central. He is averaging 16.4 PPG while shooting 49% from the floor (55-111) and 47% from the 3-point line (36-74). In addition, he is shooting a high free throw percentage of 79% going 34-43. More importantly, Will maintains an impressive 3.5 GPA.

The next step in his development is to get physically stronger which will come with age. At his size, his ability to shoot efficiency from the perimeter and 3-point line should make him a coveted prospect. We have always stated shooters translate at every level, and for Will O'Connor, he does just that. We too were impressed with overall knowledge of the game and his ability to make plays.
