AAU Coach’s Evaluation: Cameron Edmonds is a long, athletic, shooting guard with unlimited range. He is quick and attacks the basket aggressively using his strong frame to help hold off defenders while scoring through contact. His wingspan and excellent athleticism allows him to defend all positions and play disruptive on ball defensive. He has a great motor; gets after you on both ends and rebounds well for a guard. Basketball Skills Trainer Evaluation: I’ve had the privilege to work with Cam for 5 yrs now. I’ve seen him grow into one if the best guards in Virginia! Cam is a high I.Q. guard with the ability to score at all levels, off the bounce or catch and shoot. He is physical, and can finish through contact. Cam can push the ball in transition, as well as run sets from the half court. He’s a proven winner with the desire to lead by example. Aside from all the great things he does on offense Cam takes pride in defending the best player on the opposing team.

Coach Frank says: For such a young player Cameron has an impressive feel for the game and for situational basketball. He is a composed and intelligent floor leader, manages the game well and is an extension of his coach as a point guard should be. He handles the ball very well and doesn’t turn it over, gets to spots on the floor quickly with the dribble and gets from end to end very quickly! He makes good decisions and is a very good passer. Cameron is a crafty playmaker with a tight handle, can hit the three point jumper or pull up and hit the jumper off the dribble. He has a quick handle and can get defenders off balance with a series of combination dribble moves then blow by his man or pull up and hit the jumper. He defends his position taking advantage of a great deal of athleticism and quickness, he communicates and is an excellent defender off the ball, always in the right position to make plays on the defensive end. I’m really excited about Cameron’s potential not only on the court but off the court as well. He is a solid academic student, is a high character young man and has more than his share of humility. He’s a bright, energetic young man!
